Pets In Black

Cats and dogs dressed in basic black are consistently the last to be adopted. The phenomenon is so widespread that it even has a name, Black Dog Syndrome, although it applies to cats too. Perhaps it is a subconscious reminder that only the bad guys wear black or the simple reality that black dogs and black cats do not photograph as well as lighter coated ones. Whatever the reason, black cats and black dogs are too often overlooked in favor of lighter colored pets, no matter how friendly, easy-going, good-natured, well-mannered, well trained or if in perfect health. If you are looking to add a new four legged member to your family, please take some extra time to get to know some of our black dogs and black cats available for adoption. Consider adopting one of our "Pets in Black"!
