In Loving Memory of

Nitro Wilson

A New Angel in Heaven

Today heaven has received a new angel and his name is Nitro Wilson. It’s hard to believe in just 8 short years how many hearts this special boy has touched.

Nitro came into the Wilson household when he was about 5 months old. If you would have told me then how much of my heart he would steal, I wouldn’t have believed it. The whole family just loved that little bear so very much. Nitro was the last puppy out of 9 being rejected by 2 other families. The 3rd time is a charm and we feel that he was waiting for us. Nitro would go everywhere with us. He was like my 4th child. At the age of 2 he had completed his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and we were all very proud of him. I thank Nitro for starting my compassion and love for the breed and also for encouraging me to help save the ones that need a new start on life. He has help many scared dogs become brave animals that trust humans again just like any father would. Nitro was a very large boy but when you looked into those eyes they would be very warm and inviting. He has changed many people’s opinion on what a Rottweiler should be. There are a few people that have even adopted Rottweilers because of Nitro’s personality. I used to tell people who come to the Rottie Side…that once you got a Rott you never go back..for that is what Nitro has done to me.

I just want to share with you a little bit of how I see Nitro and what impact he has had on me personally. Nitro came into my life when my life was tough and turned upside down. He helped me make it through the weekends when my kids weren’t home. He was my best friend and seemed to always know when my day was lousy and how to bring a smile to my face. It was like he seemed to read my mind. Nitro wasn’t always the easiest boy and would like to challenge the pecking order at times, but it was always in his typical joking way. Make the joke around the house that the pecking order was Mom, Nitro then everyone else. Nitro was the best and will never be forgotten. He was my best friend, companion and above all he was himself. I hope that everyone will have the pleasure of having such a wonderful relationship with all your fur babies for it is the greatest bond in the world. I love you Nitro and will always love you. You will never be forgotten my friend!
