"I Remember"

I remember my first trip to the humane society 16 years ago.
I remember a beautiful orange long hair cat sitting on the cat tree as big as you please, her first people didn't want her anymore, "too much hair."
I remember taking you home and my Dad saying "Oh no, not another one!"
I remember you sitting on the toilet watching me brush my teeth every morning.
I remember waking up in the middle of the night with your furry butt in my face and I didn't care.
I remember watching movies with you on the living room floor, but I had to have your special fuzzy blanket laid just so or you would just stare in my face.
I remember the past 16 years with you always being there.
I remember all the silent meows, except when I wasn't getting the Fancy Feast open fast enough, then I got a "MEOW!!"
I remember your big yellow eyes and your sweet mush face.
I remember the last breath I felt from you on my face and I knew that you were ok.
I know that you knew you were loved very much and we'll miss you more than you know...
