In Loving Memory of

Mollie

“Man’s best friend”--
Those words fail to say it all.
The best way to describe Mollie
Is as Vici’s “baby girl.”

“Mollie”: The English tag for “feminine”--
Could Mark have named her finer?
Her delicate spots, her soft warm coat,
She was a trooper, but still a shiner.

Let’s not forget she was loyal and true,
Loving, and completely a goof.
It is with heavy heart I bid her adieu:
“Woof, blessed dog, woof, woof.”

But let us remember,
As we fight back our tears,
The heaven that Mollie
Called home through the years:

Homecooked meals, dear friends,
Ending each day with her human, in bed.
What dog wouldn’t give his all
For that life instead?

While some pups are dealt
Longer, healthier hands
More and more walk through life
On their lonesome, “unmanned”.

And while Mollie left this world
During what “should” have been her prime
In those five short years,
She lived the love of a lifetime.

And looking down from Heaven,
I know Mollie still knows:
She left this world, wrapped in the arms
That made her earthly home home!
