Hello everyone! I have been meaning for some time to send some photos of Shadow and the family but always get side-tracked somehow. Shadow is approaching his one-year anniversary with our family. I was prepared for the fact that new adoptions can take quite awhile to really settle in and our boy was no exception. After time, hard work and a lot of love, Shadow is almost completely unrecognizable as the dog who came through our front door last December. We are not sure exactly what his former life was like but discovered soon after the adoption that he had BB's in his shoulder, broken bottom front teeth and a neck injury which had left a 2 inch by 5 inch long scar on the underside of his neck. Despite all of this, he is the most loveable, sweet-dispositioned dog we could have ever hoped for. He is also amazing in his patience and tolerance with our very young children. His only fault is his body-space awareness. We often joke that Shadow thinks he is a Chihuahua when he tries to curl his one hundred pound body into your lap. Shadow has really settled in. He loves running around the yard with our cocker spaniel, Jasmine, playing with his favorite stuffed goose toy, and wrestling with the kids.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you who helped bring Shadow into our lives. Shadow is everything we had hoped for in a dog and we are very happy to give him a warm, loving and comfortable home which he may not have had before. Thank you again.

Regards,
Kelly Armour
