Scooby
March 15, 2005
Addressed to Ms.
Catherine Watson (FFN)
Reading, PA
Dear Ms. Watson:
We are in receipt of your most gracious March 9,
2005 thank you note. In turn, I will
reciprocate with a "Scooby Status Report!" I
might have previously received an email from you or
from the network but inadvertently deleted it prior
to responding.
The truth is we should be thanking you and "The
Furry Friends Network" for the great work you do
that, in turn, afforded us the opportunity to adopt
Scooby. For the longest time Kim and I
deliberated as to whether we would be suitable pet
owners in light of our three boys busy schedules
(mainly sports related). So far we have had no
difficulty integrating a pet into our lives.
When we considered getting a dog, adopting an animal
in need seemed to make a lot of sense.
Admittedly, we knew very little about the work that
you do and it was just a coincidence that my
youngest son wondered into "PetsMart" the day we
found Scooby.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the
loving efforts of Stephanie Grossnickle.
Stephanie's love for her work and love of animals is
a window into her soul. She was great to deal
with and we are forever grateful.
You are welcome to us Scooby and our family as an
example of a "success" story. Scooby has been
a wonderful addition to our home. He brings us
much joy and laughter. The more affection you
show him, the more he returns. Everyone who
sees Scooby just thinks he is the neatest dog.
One of our neighbors even brings Scooby treats and
toys home from business trips!
Our youngest boy loves Scooby and refers to him as
his best friend. Scooby likes to sleep in his
cage at night and has been easy to house train.
Even as he cuts his teeth, Scooby has not made a
pest of himself chewing things he is not supposed
to.
Thanks again,
Sincerely,
The Ober's
