Hello!

We adopted Mary on September 19th, 2003, and Ellie (formally known as Lady) on August 28th, 2004 from Furry Friends Network.

Mary was about 3 months old when she was rescued from West Virginia, and we adopted her a month later.  She is now a year and half old, and even though she’s only been with us a year, it seems so much longer… we cannot imagine our lives without her.  She is such a joy, and is wonderful with our six children who range in age from two to 16.  She loves to chase our 10 cats (which she thinks is playing), and is very good at herding our two goats back into their pen if they ever get out- which is quite entertaining to watch!

Ellie is two years old.  She is also from West Virginia; and we adopted her 3 weeks after Furry Friends rescued her.  We cannot imagine how anyone would ever abandon her- she is so wonderful… she LOVES EVERYBODY she meets- and everybody who meets her falls in love with her.  We also took her to a nursing home to visit the residents- and everybody there loved her, and she was VERY well behaved.  She is just the sweetest little girl (she weighs 22 pounds) and loves to be carried around like a baby.  Ellie’s only been with us a couple of months but we have fallen in love with her and can’t imagine why anyone would give her up.

Ellie and Mary get along wonderfully- and love to play tug-of-war with their toys.  We are working with them on playing fetch with a ball- they’re learning that you ARE supposed to bring it BACK!  They are both wonderful additions to our family and we thank FFN for allowing them to a part of it.

We urge anybody who is considering adopting to please do so.  It is so rewarding to know that you saved a life… and that life will thank you and love you forever.  Furry Friends Network is a wonderful organization that truly cares about saving these innocent animals’ lives.  It is obvious that Mary and Ellie were well taken care of and loved during the short time they were with FFN.  Their foster moms were and still are very helpful and encouraging!

Thank you, Furry Friends, for saving so many lives,
