My name is Lola, you may have seen me before on petfinder.com as TG. I was adopted by my new Mommy and Daddy in August 2007.

Before I came to find Furry Friends Network I was living in a West Virginia shelter with my siblings. We shared the same crate until bad things started to happen to me, you see, my siblings decided to start picking on me which was causing me to receive some pretty painful injuries. A nice lady from Furry Friends Network saw what was happening to me and moved me to my own crate. A short while later I was then moved into foster care with the Furry Friends Network. Lynn, my foster Mommy, drove a long time to come get me so I could be brought into a home full of love and nurturing. Almost as soon as I was posted on petfinder.com my new Mommy and Daddy found me for they had adopted through Furry Friends Network in January 2007 and were looking for another puppy. They knew that my big brother Kota, a black lab mix just like me, would love to have a little sister to play with. Kota and I share the same foster Mommy. You can see Kota’s site here.

When my Mommy and Daddy came to see me at my foster home they fell in love with me at first sight. I instantly knew that I was going to be part of their family. They couldn’t believe how much I looked like my big brother Kota when he was that age. I was such a cutie when they came to see me. I ran around the yard playing with a volley ball and rolled around in the grass. I then crawled up onto my Daddy’s lap and licked his face; he thought this was so adorable.

A few weeks later, after I was spayed (not a fun experience!), Lynn took me to meet my big brother and to see my new Mommy and Daddy. Things worked out so well that the adoption paperwork was completed right there and then. This was the moment I was waiting for - I was finally in my new forever home and this was just the beginning, Mommy and Daddy had more in store for me. I was given my very own dog bed which is very cute by the way (it’s pink!) and my own crate that sits right next to Kota’s crate. Then my Mommy and Daddy showed me the toy basket; I was in heaven. Kota and I have so many neat toys to play with and share.

Three days per week Kota and I go to the Bark Park to play with all of our doggie friends. We love going to daycare, so much, in fact that we run to the front door and wag our tails when Mommy or Daddy says “Bark Park”. At the end of the day at daycare we’re both exhausted. When we get home we curl up together on either my dog bed or Kota’s bed.

Soon I will be working on my training by attending classes at PetSmart. Mommy and Daddy think that I will do well; I expect to graduate with top honors.

My life is now filled with happiness and I thank Furry Friends Network and my foster Mommy Lynn for getting me to my new home where I am now safe and sound!

Love,
Lola
