Buddy & Mel

Well now!! I came out and found the two laying like this and the camera happened to be laying there....I grabbed and shot. I though for sure they'd jump up....They laid there like that for a good few minutes. So relaxed together. Wow. I think they are really starting to bond.

I think Mel still hasn't learned how to play. We are trying though. The other day Buddy took her bones and was obviously trying to torment her to come and play because he kept watching her and running by her with it. She just sat there like the queen and looked down her nose at him. Le sigh. I think she may try one of these days. He really wants her to come play.

She is very smart. We still put a leash on Buddy to go to the bathroom because he will go wandering off on a scent. And that is the only time she nips at him!! She knows when he is on a leash!! The goofballs. They also do well for walks. If he is by himself he will bark at other dogs. When she is with him he usually stays quiet. Usually. He loves to greet other dogs with enthusiasm and she will follow his happy lead to go greet other dogs.

By herself she is not so confident to greet other dogs. She usually just passes by like the high class girl she is.

I'm so glad they have each other now! I am still very thankful to furry friends and you guys who put so much of your lives on hold to foster these animals.
