Hello Lynn! 

Boomer (formerly known as Maria) is doing GREAT!  She was such a smooth addition to the family, it’s hard to remember what life was like before she arrived.  Boomer and her big brother Fozzie (our 3-year-old collie-shepherd mix) are inseparable.  They eat, sleep and play together.  Fozzie even lets her win at tug-o-war sometimes!  She is also a dream-come-true for our eldest dog, Enkidu (a Norwegian Elkhound).  Fozzie used to bother him day and night to play, but all Enkidu wanted to do was snuggle or sleep on the sofa.  Now Boomer occupies all of Fozzie’s time and Enkidu can relax! 

Boomer’s favorite things to do are play with Fozzie and “hunt” backyard wildlife (squirrels, birds, rabbits, fireflies….she chases and tries to catch them all).  For a puppy with such short legs to begin with (being a chow-corgi mix), she crouches even LOWER in the grass to stalk things!  She is also a very well-behaved little pup (must have been the terrific foster parents) and so quiet compared to our other two dogs (well, you can imagine how our Elkhound likes to bark!).
